Music Store Live is proud to offer up this beautiful 12-string from our friends over at Takamine. With a long standing history of building extraordinary acoustic guitars, this is a guitar that can be enjoyed by players new to 12-string and also those already well familiar with it.

The beautiful transparent red finish over the spruce top and maple back and sides gives this guitar an awesome aesthetic that is different than a lot of acoustics out there without being too over the top. A lot of this guitar is a beautiful mix between the classic build quality and traditions that have made Takamine so great but also with some cool aesthetics and, in some ways, a modern playability to it. Perhaps I'm just used to some 12-strings where you really have to wrestle the big neck on there. But this guitar isn't like that at all. The neck feels extremely comfortable and it's easy to play with minimal adjustment, even if you're fairly new to rockin' a 12-string.

In addition to looking beautiful and being an absolute joy to play, Takamine outfitted this one with a pre-amp that lets you plug the guitar in for an amplified sound. The pre-amp has a built-in tuner as well as a frequency notch for when you're playing on-stage and need to cut out whatever that pesky frequency is that isn't playing nice with the acoustics of the room. It really gives you everything you need right on the guitar so whether you're playing acoustically or you need a little more juice to your volume and tone, the guitar is ready to go for you.
