Suhr's got something for everyone, and this Alt T is a fine example of that. Based loosely on the vintage 1970s Thinline guitars, this guitar is loaded with 2 "PAF"-style SSV humbucking pickups, enabling it to cop some killer low-gain vintage sounds while still being able to drive the front end of a tube amp into classic rock overdrive. Through it all, it retains a smoothness and a sweetness to the sound that is very characteristic of semi-hollows.
Clean or distorted, the sound is warm, smooth, and articulate. Construction of this guitar is immaculate, as with all Suhr guitars. The satin neck is divine to play on and fretwork is impeccable. Chambering the body adds sweetness and warmth to the bottom end, as well as reducing the weight. This baby weighs in at a super light 6.8 lbs!
