The PRS Hollowbody II features some of the most authentic combinations of acoustic and electric sound we've seen. Tonally, it's completely in its own class. It has the clarity and articulation that PRS is known for, but it also has the warm, dynamic responsiveness of a good jazz box. This makes for some incredibly focused, detailed tone. Distorted sounds gain a refreshing new depth coming out of this guitar. They cut with a crisp liveliness, but fade out with the gentle resonance you'd expect from an acoustic. Clean, this guitar can do pretty much everything. It rolls off wonderfully for dark sounds, but it can also brighten up without piercing. The tones you can get with the piezo make it hard to believe this is an electric guitar. The hollow construction also shaves off a few pounds, so you can play it for hours without getting tired. If you're an electric player looking for more warmth or an acoustic player who needs more of an edge, don't skip over this guitar. The stunningly gorgeous 10-Top and matching back on this helps match aesthetics with playability and sound. This one won't stick around for long, that's for sure.

This PRS Hollowbody II, finished in black gold, features a carved flame maple 10-Top with mahogany sides and a flame maple matching back. The maple provides a crisp, snappy response, the mahogany balances out the lows, and the hollow construction provides warmth and depth. The mahogany Pattern neck has a bright-sounding jet black ebony fretboard with Bird inlays and 22 frets. Electronically, this guitar is decked out with PRS's 58/15 pickups. These are some of the best new pickups PRS has made. They provide a vintage warmth that the 57/08's used to, but they're slightly hotter to suit today's guitar player's needs a bit better. They interact a bit better with pedals and tube amps by having ever so slightly more output than the 57/08 did. There's also an LR Baggs Piezo that can be mixed and matched with the 58/15, giving you endless electric and acoustic sound options. The PRS Stoptail bridge and Phase III Locking Tuners keep everything in tune very well and make for easy string changes. This guitar is a tonal investment that'll provide years and years of service in the studio and on stage.
