Ernie Ball's release of the Music Man St. Vincent in 2016 was yet another collaboration between the company's finest engineers and an established artist with a vision for a signature instrument. This St. Vincent model is really cool and a nice addition to their lineup since it's so different from other offerings they have. Of course, most people will first be drawn to the unique and intriguing shape of the body. The guitar has a radical look, but worry not, comfort is still a priority. It balances well with a strap and the neck is extremely comfortable. It's not too thin and has a very comfortable nut width that allows for comfortable chording or playing lead lines down in the lower registers.

The Goldie pickups are made by Music Man and are really nice. They have a very punchy and articulate sound to them. The bridge pickup can handle distortion and high-gain settings really nicely. The middle gets you some nice twangy tones that aren't too shrill and piercing and the neck pickup can get beautifully warm and rich for lead lines and solos. It's a smoking hot sound that can be tamed down if needed. It's really a very versatile tonal pallet that this beauty presents and when you pair that with how effortless the guitar is to play, it just makes the musical possibilities jump right out.

The result is a wealth of very musical and usable tones right under your fingertips. The craftsmanship and construction quality is noteworthy from top to bottom. The custom headstock logo is a cool touch as well and much tastier (in my opinion) than a sloppily scribbled autograph as many signature models are apt to have.

Whether you're a fan, a collector, or just looking for something that has a unique look to it but feels incredible under your fingertips, this is definitely one to consider.

Introducing Goldie, the brand new, reimagined St. Vincent signature guitar from Ernie Ball Music Man. Goldie features a lightweight okoume body, roasted figured maple neck with reversed headstock, and rosewood or ebony fretboard (depending on color option). A trio of newly-designed Ernie Ball Music Man gold foil mini humbucking pickups and an intuitive 5-way switching arrangement combine to provide a bright and bold clarity with moderate output. The redesigned 3-ply parchment pickguard has been relocated underneath the pickups for a more traditional aesthetic. The 2021 St. Vincent Goldie also includes stainless steel frets, chrome hardware, and a smooth-action St. Vincent Music Man tremolo with solid brass saddles. Goldie retains many of the familiar elements of previous St. Vincent models, such as custom parchment control knobs, pearl tuning keys, Schaller locking tuners, and custom St. Vincent signature inlays.
