Built off the foundation of a StingRay guitar, but with a few tweaks, this is one of those artist signature models that anybody can get behind. It's a cool mix of a traditional color scheme and generally vintage aesthetic, but yet it doesn't look like too many other guitars floating around out there. The stacked volume and tone knob is a cool way to eliminate clutter on your control plate and a simply 3-way pickup toggle switch gives you the pickup configurations that you'd expect. But one cool addition to this is the "mode" button that essentially bypasses all of the controls and sends the sound of your pickups directly to the output jack in stereo. So each pickup gets its own signal, essentially, if you use a stereo cable. This gives you the most aggressive sound possible out of the guitar and allows you to dial in some serious gain while pumping out some nice output from the pickups. As Dustin uses it, it also allows for really fast switching between the tones of the neck and the bridge pups.

The playability, as you'd expect out of a Music Man, is superb. It came beautifully set up from the factory with a straight neck and very low action. The fretwork is spot on and all the way up and down the neck. The strings feel balanced and it just seems rather effortless to accomplish anything you want to on this guitar.

This is an awesome addition to the Music Man lineup that offers a cool spin on a classic design.
