The Patriot is an absolute bulldozer. The build quality is beyond superb and the action, right out of the box, was really low while still producing clear and buzz-free notes. From top to bottom this feels like a truly boutique and high-end instrument while being an absolute heavyweight in the tone department. It's supremely versatile, but of course shines best in the hands of anyone looking for an aggressive bass tone that is going to punch through the mix clearly and articulately.

The electronics package provides a huge array of useable tones with combination of the two pickups and the preamp. It also has its own distinct voice in passive mode, which allows you to get close to a Jaco-esque sort of tone. The Aguilar pickups are some of the best in the business, and paired with the renowned Darkglass Tone Capsule preamp system, this thing is truly a force to be reckoned with.
