The Regius line provides an excellent balance between classic design and modern tone. The neck feels absolutely amazing whether you're predominantly a 6-string slinger or have been playing extended range guitars for a while. The frets might look all squiggly and weird, but they really require zero adjustment to your playing style. Just close your eyes and play the guitar as you normally would. There's nothing you have to do differently.
The Bare Knuckle TKO pickups are designed specifically for Mayones and they are awesome! They're hot and heavy and definitely designed with the modern-day shredder in mind. These pickups are truly custom-made for each particular model. Mayones sends Bare Knuckle a Duvell, for example, with no pickups in it, and no instructions on what to do. Bare Knuckle, using all of their expertise, then go ahead and create what they think is the best pickup for that model of guitars. The result is a perfect marriage of tonewoods and electronics the likes of which we've rarely seen.
While this guitar is still going to be a head-turner - I mean, just look at it! It's gorgeous! - the sound and playability are likely to be the most impressive aspects of this beauty. This is another thoroughly impressive build from our friends over at Mayones.
