Mayones Duvell BL 7, 7-String Guitar, Black Limba
Music Store Live is proud to be an official Mayones dealer. If you haven't checked these guys out yet, you're in for a real treat! Black limba was best known for being used on old Gibson guitars. It's harder to work with than mahogany but provides a more refined tone that is similar, but tighter than mahogany. Along with having beautiful figuring, the black limba is one of those holy grail tonewoods that you don't see used that frequently anymore, but boy does it sound awesome.
Offering some of the highest quality craftsmanship we've ever come across, Mayones is building some absolutely killer guitars that have more than just metal rockers and djent shredders turning their heads to take note. Perfectly mixing cool aesthetics, immaculate build quality, and wonderfully searing tones, this Duvell BL 7 is a take no prisoners kind of axe. The low-B string is nice and tight so you can drop-tune without worrying about it getting all wobbly on you.
The Duncan Nazgul and Sentient pickups are shredders through and through. But unlike a lot of "metal" pickups, they aren't 1-trick ponies. Sure, they are designed to handle heavy gain, but they can also do clean tones with easy. They are also overwound and have plenty of mid-range to help give you definition and articulation even if you're playing with loads of saturation.
The ergonomic body, perfectly groomed frets, and built for speed neck design keep the Duvell's eye focused clearly on the modern player. This axe is like a racecar sitting at the red light revving its engine, just itching for the light to turn green and unleash the power like a bat out of hell. The playability is incredible and the tone leaves nothing to be desired. A simple master volume control (with push/pull coil-splitting capability) makes this a no-fuss shredder's axe that is locked and loaded, ready for the limelight.
Duvell is a metal machine that doesn’t skimp out on anything related to playability and tone. It’s a superstrat-shaped instrument with bolt-on neck and pointed horns for an aggressive look. This guitar comes in two main flavours: standard and Elite.
“When I visited Namm 2014, I tried the prototype Duvell made for Misha, I fell in love right away. It was one of the most comfortable guitars I’ve ever played that sounded aggressive and tight, great the for the music I play. Mayones craft amongst the best guitars on the market today. Very unique instruments that have been given a lot of love during their build!” – John Browne / Monuments
“If you’re looking for an ultra-high quality metal machine that doesn’t skimp out on anything related to playability and tone, then the Duvell is for you! They aren’t cheap, but no quality instrument is ever going to be cheap. Personally, I rarely order new guitars, but I placed an order for a Duvell Elite with a pale moon ebony fretboard after playing this guitar. That should say enough.” – Wired Guitarist
“The attention to detail that Mayones put into every single one of their instruments is very apparent – it radiates from the tip of my Duvell’s headstock all the way down to the input jack. You need to hold one in your hands to really appreciate this level of craftsmanship.” – Luke Hoskin / Protest The Hero

Seymour Duncan Nazgul & Sentient Pickup Set
Take your guitar to the center of the earth with the Nazgûl and Sentient high output passive humbucker pickups. The Nazgûl combines a large ceramic magnet with custom winding specs. The result is a perfect blend of note articulation, saturation, pick attack, and one of the most brutal “chugs” you’ll ever hear from a humbucker. It has incredible harmonic content across all frequency ranges, and an insanely tight bass response. The Nazgûl has a seriously aggressive high gain sound that is lively, yet completely controllable.
The Sentient neck delivers a balanced, versatile tone that fits right between the 59 and the Jazz model neck pickups. You’ll get pristine cleans, and fluid leads under high gain. The Sentient is a very articulate vintage output pickup with great dynamic response and a wide harmonic range. It works great for low tunings in all humbucker-equipped guitars.
Hand built in our Santa Barbara, CA factory, the Nazgûl and Sentient both feature a large ceramic and alnico 5 bar magnet respectively, nickel silver bottom plate, and 4-conductor lead wire for multiple wiring options. These high output passive humbucker pickups are also available in both 6-string and 7-string passive mount sets, and are vacuum wax potted for squeal-free performance.
