Player's Perspective

The ESP LTD Snakebyte is in its own league. It looks kind of like a pissed off Explorer on steroids, but it has a lot more going on than just cool looks. For starters, this LTD series axe sports the same pickups at its ESP counterpart, which are also the same pickups that James Hetfield uses. The sound is hot, articulate and crunchy, perfect for heavy rhythm parts and melodies that cut through. Bends are effortless thanks to the comfortable scale length. Quality hardware tops off the design. Perfect for the Hetfield fan or anyone who's looking for a quality metal axe with appointments usually found on higher end guitars.

Item Details

This ESP LTD Snakebyte features a mahogany body with a black finish. The thin U shaped mahogany neck sports an ebony fretboard with 22 extra jumbo frets and a 350mm radius. Electronically, the Snakebyte is decked out with the same pickups that you'll find on the ESP series model of the same name: a pair of EMG James Hetfield signature pickups. These things are powerful and throaty, with well defined lows and clear highs. The TonePros Locking Tune-O-Matic bridge and tailpiece makes for easy string changes and simple action/intonation adjustment. Other features include locking tuners and black hardware.
