ESP LTD GL-256 George Lynch, Distressed 2-Tone Burst

$499.00

Player's Perspective

"Relic" guitars - guitars that are built to emulate the feel of a worn-in, well played instrument - usually cost a few thousand dollars. This George Lynch signature from ESP LTD is the most inexpensive relic I've come across. The aged finish on the body makes this guitar look like it's been all around the world with a shredder playing it nightly, but the neck is what you'll really respond to. It has that smooth, worn-in feel that guitars usually get only after lifetimes of service, and here's the crazy part: It feels more natural than some relics that cost way more than what you're looking at here. The sound of this axe is hot and articulate - it can do crunch, spank, chime and jangle with equal ease. And for this far south of the 1K mark? Easily one of the best deals going right now.

Item Details

This ESP LTD GL-256 George Lynch model features an alder body with a distressed 2-tone burst finish. Be sure to check out the photos to get a feel for the aged look. The bolt-on neck is maple, and it has 22 extra jumbo frets, dot inlays and a 42mm radius. ESP lists the neck as "extra thin," but it has more girth to it than that suggests. The neck feel is exquisite: Some of the finish has been rubbed off, creating a super smooth and comfortable ride all the way up and down. For pickups, this axe sports an HSS setup. There's an LH-150B in the bridge, an LS-120M in the middle, and an LS-120N in the neck. This is the perfect setup for everything from hot leads to sparkly cleans. Other features include a vintage tremolo bridge and LTD tuners.

Overall Condition

Other than the aging applied by ESP LTD, this ESP LTD GL-256 George Lynch model is in brand new pristine mint condition with no nicks, scratches or blemishes.
