Player's Perspective
LsL Instruments are being built just a couple of hours up the road from us, right here in California, and we are proud to now be offering them up through Music Store Live. Here we have a beautiful t-style guitar with a nicely figured rosewood top and a gorgeous flame maple neck that's been roasted.
The guitar has the lightest level of relic that LsL offers. There's some minor checking on the nitro finish and that's it. We're really thrilled with how this one came out. Along with looking beautiful, feels incredible. The neck is a thing of beauty and LsL always knock it out of the park with their fretwork.
The sound is thoroughly vintage and everything about this guitar just makes you feel right at home with it from the minute it's in your hands. The hand-wound pickups are extremely rich in their harmonic content and have a lot of snappiness and twang to them without sacrificing the body and punch of the notes. They sound as good, if not better than any vintage-inspired single coils you've ever heard!
Manufacturer's Description
Our T-bone is a re-creation of the best a '50's or '60 vintage T-style guitar has to offer and more. We start by selecting the best possible materials and then make them right here in our shop. We make the bodies, necks, truss rods, pickups, saddles and pick guards all here. Each body is built and detailed by hand. Each neck is hand shaped. Then we lay on the thinnest possible nitrocellulose lacquer finish and that finish is then weather checked. This creates a very airy, open, articulate tone that is then enhanced by our own, LsL hand-wound pickups.
This is as close as you can get to achieving the tone, playability, look and feel of a vintage guitar. Our T-bones have found their way into the hands of many a player who has replaced their 50's-vintage instrument with ours.
The best materials, best processes and a love and care for each guitar is what makes the T-bone the new standard in vintage-style instruments. We make them all for ourselves but then we have to sell them.
