Player Perspective

Paul Waggoner spec'd his Ibanez Signature guitar well - this is one of the coolest shredders in their Premium range. Featuring a foundation of a gorgeous ash body with a thin white finish that shows the grain nicely and a rosewood fretboard, this guitar is fully loaded with his Mojotone signature pickups and renowned Ibanez Edge Zero double-locking tremolo. This PWM20 is an axe with both looks and sound to kill. We love the Wizard III neck profile here at the shop for being similar to the legendary Super Wizard but with a little more thickness, while still being just as fast. The ash body and rosewood fretboard makes it feel similar under the fingers and acoustically to a vintage-style guitar, and Waggoner's Mojotone pickups simply rip, especially with the straightforward one-knob master volume and convenient coil-split switching layout.

Item Specifics

Ibanez's thin, flat and fast Wizard III 3pc Maple/Bubinga neck is strong and sturdy and offers unlimited playability and features a two-octave 24-fret fretboard for a wide tonal range. The rosewood fretboard provides a well-balanced solid tone with a focused midrange. This guitar is loaded with Paul's signature Mojotone® PW Hornet pickups. The "PW Hornet" humbucker is specially-designed to provide a wide variety of progressive tones, from pristine cleans to heavy leads and chunky chord voicings, without going mushy on the lows or harsh on the highs. The girth and clarity of its coil-tapped tones combined with its dynamic pick attack response make the "PW Hornet" a well-balanced and versatile high-output humbucker pickup. The Edge Zero II bridge design features a lower profile tremolo for playing comfort and stud lock function for stable tuning.
