Finally! An Ibanez Jem complete with all the speed, tone and looks at a way more affordable price point. I always lusted after Vai's guitars when I was learning to play, and had this thing been around back then I would have snagged it in a second. It's lightning fast and built impressively well for a guitar around the $500 mark. The sound is very well detailed and nuanced. Your hands are free to blaze along, lay down a heavy riff in the low or take a simple melody and Vai-ify it with some bizarre vibratos and expressive, unorthodox bending techniques. This is perfect the advancing shredster, the Vai disciple, or simply anyone on the hunt for a hot-toned electric guitar at a killer price.

This axe sports a mahogany body with a nice white finish. The Wizard III maple neck is built for speed, comfort and stability. It's one of those necks that makes you feel like you spent all last week hanging out with a metronome. Electronically, this axe is decked out with three great Quantum pickups - humbuckers in the bridge and neck and a single coil in the middle. The standard DL tremolo bridge will let you get away with just about anything without sending the guitar out of tune. And of course, no Vai guitar would be complete with the Tree of Life inlay on the fretboard.
