We're stoked to present this Richard Fortus signature Falcon from Gretsch! Everyone knows the classic-spec White Falcon is the quintessential Gretsch hollowbody. Fortus, who's best known for being Guns N' Roses' currently-tenured rhythm guitarist, and Gretsch worked together to take the Falcon in a direction that rocks a little bit harder.

This double-cut take on the Falcon features a center block that reduces feedback, allowing you to bang out higher gain riffs on the biggest of stages with lesser risk of unwanted feedback. This definitely serves Fortus well on stage, as it's hard to avoid a little squealing in front of face-melting Marshall stacks. And just like him, this construciton feature will serve you equally well on the bar or festival gig, as well!

The custom-wound Filtertrons in this axe have a little more power and punch than the vintage Gretsch pickups do. They hold together under gain and saturation better and can easily handle the high-octane riffs that Guns N' Roses and other styles of music of that magnitude are known for. This thing simply kicks ass through an EL34-powered British amp with the gain turned up.

It begins with a resonant 1.75”-deep, 17”-wide double-cutaway maple body with a lightweight chambered spruce center block running throughout, reinforcing the arched laminate top while eliminating undesired feedback for volume-friendly performance that fits modern stages. The 25.5” scale length, “U” shaped maple neck and 12”-radius ebony fingerboard with 22 medium jumbo frets provide easy playability with enhanced sustain and tone, perfect for deep bends and soaring leads. Guitarists with Fortus’ shape-shifting talents demand versatility in their instruments to remain on top of their game, which is why a set of Custom Wound Filter’Tron™ pickups in the bridge and neck positions fit perfectly.

A master volume with treble bleed circuit allows you to throttle your amp without sacrificing your dialed-in tone, while a master tone with a no-load pot provides that organic vintage ‘Tron feel at the twist of a knob.
