As proud G&L dealers, we're stoked to present you this awesome custom-order Legacy HSS from their Fullerton factory in a sleek, spaceship-like Graphite Metallic finish! The Legacy HSS is a variant of G&L's evolved take on the original S-style guitar designed by Leo Fender himself, and this is definitely a piece that carries on the legacy of the instrument.

Here at the shop, we love guitars that are modern and practical with "quality of life" improvements that cater to the player, but retain the vintage tone we all love. An evolved take on the S-style guitar, this gorgeous Legacy HSS features a supremely-stable 2-point tremolo, two CLF-100 Alnico V single-coil pickups and an AW4470B humbucker in the bridge. The single coils nail all the classic tones of the '50s and '60s you'd expect with this style of guitar, while the humbucker in the bridge lends the lead position that hot-rodded vibe, with a bit more oomph to drive the front end of your amp. Although the pickup styles are classic, the improvements made on the design by the innovators at G&L push them even further beyond, making this an extremely balanced set tonally. There's also a nifty mini-toggle to split the humbucker for even more versatility.

ITEM SPECIFICS

The G&L Legacy HSS fattens things up with a G&L alnico bridge humbucker to complement the vintage alnico G&L CLF-100 single coils in the neck and middle positions. Masterminded by G&L VP Engineering Paul Gagon, the Legacy HSS has that ideal balance that’ll let it play well in a variety of settings, and its splittable bridge humbucker will does a convincing job as a single coil with rich, ringing harmonics.

The Legacy HSS brings all of the Legacy features, starting with Leo’s PTB (Passive Treble and Bass) system which functions on all three pickups for dramatically more variety than the vintage setup and a split coil switch for the bridge pickup. What’s more, the Legacy HSS features a Leo Fender-designed Dual-Fulcrum vibrato, a work of engineering art which allows bending up or down with unsurpassed stability, while offering a silky feel through its beefy aluminum vibrato arm. The Legacy HSS’s hard-rock maple neck features an easy-playing satin finish, comfortable 9 1/2″ radius and Jescar 57110 medium-jumbo nickel-silver frets for silky playability. The moment you open the luxurious hardshell case, you’ll be greeted with a stunning instrument and delicious aroma that’ll have your pulse racing.
