G&L USA Launch Edition Fallout Short Scale Bass, Racing Green w/Competition Stripes, Caribbean Rosewood Fretboard

New from our friends over at G&L is this beautiful foray into short scale basses. The Fallout Bass is an awesome new addition to G&L's lineup and is sure to please anybody looking for that short scale sound or players with smaller hands that still need to comfortably lay down the low end.

This bass has G&L quality from top to bottom. The frets are excellently seated and leveled. The neck is smooth and fast to maneuver on. The sound is anything from absolutely massive and powerful to bright and cutting. It's got the same electronic layout as the L-1000 bass and has a sort of P-bass on steroids sound to it. The OMG (series) mode is like a bulldozer that will plow its way through anything you put in front of it. The single-coil mode will be bright, cutting, and sound like an old school single-coil P-bass might have (think Sting's bass tone from The Police) but with some more oomph to it. In parallel mode the sound is a mix of full and warm and tight and punchy.

The new Fallout Bass Launch Edition is available in three exciting colors decked out with racing stripes. This 30” short scale powerhouse features a G&L Magnetic Field Design humbucking pickup controlled by a 3-position mini–toggle switch for parallel/split/OMG modes – just like an L-1000 – bringing anything from modern to old school tones to your fingertips. What’s more, players used to a traditional 34″ scale will find this pint size puncher super easy to play.

Other features include an Alder body, Maple bolt-on neck, Caribbean rosewood fingerboard, Saddle-Lock Bridge and Custom G&L Ultra Lite tuners, and La Bella Nickel Roundwound short scale strings.
