  • G&L Classic C Neck Shape - This is the profile most G&L fans associate with the post 2000 era. 1 5/8” nut width, slight edge roll, medium taper from 0.830” to 0.960”. It starts off fairly slim and gets beefier up the neck. These specs were part of the #1 neck.

Lefties, we didn't forget about you! This is a unique and tonally diverse take on G&L's famous ASAT design.

The tone is a bit more customizable than your standard ASAT, but it leans toward the bright and sparkly side of things without being too treble-happy. Clean, you can pull all kinds of twang out of this axe, or back off on the tone for a darker, subtler sound. With some distortion, this guitar turns into the perfect axe for any kind of blues, rock or country. It thickens up and cuts through while retaining that vocal-like quality of good single coils. The neck is very round and comfortable, perfect for fast leads, chords and big bends. It's got G&L's Classic C neck shape which is slightly beefier than the Modern Classic but due to the 12" radius, it doesn't feel bulky in your hands at all.

This guitar represents some of the best American craftsmanship around with a sound that will be instantly familiar.

Item Details

The ASAT Classic Alnico is a two-pickup guitar with classic looks and effortless playability. This left-handed features a jet black finish on an alder body that's double-bound in white for some nice contrast. The maple neck is G&L's Classic C neck shape. It's a very round and comfortable profile that'll really let you dig into it when you're going for a big bend. It has a maple fingerboard with dot inlays, a 12" radius that's nice and flat and allows for limitless benidng, and 22 medium jumbo frets. There is a G&L ASAT Classic single-coil Alnico pickup in the bridge and neck. This pickup is articulate and expressive, with that inimitable alnico warmth and sensitivity. This is a great take on the ASAT, and it's perfect for constant gigging, recording, and practicing.
