Player's Perspective

The G&L Superhawk is hot, fast and powerful, with stripped-down styling, great electronics and impeccable build quality. It's designed with the G&L Rampage in mind, which was Jerry Cantrell's main guitar for most of his musical career. This Superhawk Deluxe puts out rich and heavy tone that stays tight in the low end without choking off the mids and highs, so you can riff out down low just as easily as you can wail up high. This Tribute series version of the guitar is roadworthy and rock solid. It's built like a tank - this is the type of guitar you can play, practice and gig with constantly without worrying about how it'll perform. Perfect for the die-hard Alice in Chains fan or anyone who's looking for a great hard rocking guitar.

Item Details

Basically an upgraded version of G&L's infamous Rampage model, the Tribute version of Jerry Cantrell's G&L Superhawk Deluxe signature model features a soft maple body with a blueburst finish over a flame maple veneer. The neck is fast and comfortable, and the 1 3/4" nut width is just a tad wider than G&L's usual 1 5/8". The ebony fretboard has 22 medium jumbo frets and a 12" radius. For pickups, this axe has two G&L designed alnico humbuckers, perfect for walls of distortion. The saddle-lock bridge makes string changing incredibly easy, and it also transfers string vibrations into the body more efficiently than other designs. Other great features include 18:1 ratio sealed back tuners and a 3-position pickup selector switch.
