This one's in a gorgeous "Ultraburst", which is a gorgeously refined take on the classic 3-Color Sunburst finish.

Immediately upon opening the case, this stunner greets you as a souped-up version of the classic "sunburst, rosewood fretboard, tortoise shell pickguard" early '60s Jazzmaster look that we've come to love over the years - it's blinged out with new knurled knobs, extra controls for tone-tweaking, and gorgeous binding on the rosewood fingerboard. 

As a spiritual successor to the "American Deluxe" series of old, the Ultra Jazzmaster also has a compound-radius fretboard, which makes high-register playing almost as comfortable as on a shredder-style guitar - an ease of playability that's a sweet contrast from the vintage vibe of the Jazzmaster. The neck profile is just so comfortable, making this an easy choice for a long jam session or gig. 

The Ultra Noiseless pickups sound amazing and are really versatile with the extra switches and knobs - they give you classic Jazzmaster tone without the annoying single-coil hum, which, while maybe not vintage-accurate, let's face it - you'll be a lot more grateful for this on the gig when you're arguing with your sound guy. Push the S-1 switch on the volume knob to activate both pickups in series for a humbucker-like boost that can really bring the house down.

ADVANCED ELECTRONICS

The upper slider switch puts the pickups out of phase (when both are on) and activates thumb wheel volume offset controls, offering a variety of tonal possibilities. The the treble bleed circuit maintains your highs at any volume. Engaging the volume knob's S-1 switch overrides the pickup selector toggle and activates both pickups in series.
