The preamp is F-Bass's own proprietary 3-band preamp that sounds phenomenal, and the boosts are centered around just the right frequencies! Whether you're going for an old-school vibe (the bass can also be played in passive mode), or you want something with a more modern edge to it, this one's got you fully covered.
