The USA-made Eclipse guitars from ESP are really some of slickest guitars we've played in a while. This one is a very very limited run (only 15 made!) and you won't find any other Eclipse's that look like this. But this is a lot more than just an Eclipse in a different color. You can tell that every tiny little detail on this is just immaculate. The precision and crafstmanship on this axe is out of this world. 

You can sense how special this guitar is before you even get it plugged in. It's easy to feel the body and neck resonate as you play, creating a very connected musical experience. The neck is comfortable and just thick enough in all the right places, which along with the 24.75" scale makes for a slinky, smooth feel. If you're a bender, you're going to love the way this guitar plays. Bends just kind of happen when you need them with minimal effort, and expressive vibratos are always at your fingertips. The sound is hot and searing, perfect for heavier rock and metal. Throw on some heavy gain, and you've got one of the best sounding axes you can find. The build quality on this one is off the charts. Immaculate construction is not a hyperbolic description of this guitar. It truly is stunningly impressive.

The USA Eclipse Violet Shadow is a special limited edition in the ESP USA Series. It offers a hand-selected 18mm thick flamed maple top with a spectacular Violet Shadow finish, along with a chambered mahogany body for fantastic tone and comfortable playing on stages and in studios. Its high-class features include flamed maple masked binding, a bone nut, Sperzel locking tuners, Tonepros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece, and a Seymour Duncan APH-1 pickup set, with the resulting warm, sustain-packed tone that is a hallmark of the Alnico-II Pro humbucker. Production of the USA Eclipse FM Violet Shadow is limited to 15 guitars, with a hand-written series number next to the guitar’s serial number. It includes an ESP USA case and certificate of authenticity from ESP USA.

 

This ESP USA Eclipse doesn't try to reinvent the wheel - this axe's appeal is its balance and craftsmanship. It sports a mahogany body with a flame maple top and classy tea sunburst finish reminiscent of the Les Paul bursts of the past. The mahogany neck has a thin U profile and 22 extra jumbo frets. The pickups are a set of rich, warm Seymour Duncan APH-1s. The Tonepros locking TOM bridge and tailpiece along with the Sperzel locking tuners will keep this axe in tune no matter how much you abuse it. A chambered body creates a lightweight guitar that will balance well on your shoulders and feel comfortable whether you're playing for hours on end in your bedroom or on the big stage!

This guitar is for the player who's ready for an axe that can stand up to every gig, day after day, year after year. We don't come across instruments that are this well built very often. This thing's going to be wailing, staying in tune and still looking cool decades down the line.
