PLAYER'S PERSPECTIVE

It's always a treat to get a beautiful USA-made ESP into the shop. Built in ESP's USA factory right here in California, these instruments are top-of-the-line instruments on par with their renowned, artisan-made Japanese Custom Shop guitars. The Lime Burst finish on this Horizon-II is simply breathtaking, especially over the highly-figured quilted maple top!

This is a classic Superstrat at its core, with a 25.5" scale length that provides great acoustic brightness and clarity, pairing well with the mahogany body. The neck profile is very comfortable and just thick enough in all the right places, blending the best of vintage specification with ESP's contemporary design mentality. If you're a big bender, you're going to love the way this guitar plays. All kinds of legato can be pulled off with minimal effort and expressive vibrato is always at your fingertips.

This one's loaded with EMG's 81-X & 85-X active pickups, which take the classic 81 & 85 set that has come to define modern metal to the next level - the new X preamp gives these pickups even more juice, power, and clarity. This guitar cuts through a dense mix like a hot knife through butter, and just sounds absolutely unbelievable through gain, staying tight and dynamic regardless of how much distortion you throw at it.

When high-end electronics meet superb construction and high-quality tonewoods, the result is something that's going to feel great, look great, and sound even better. That's ESP USA.

MANUFACTURER'S DESCRIPTION

Crafted at our ESP USA facility in Southern California, the USA Horizon-II gives you a premium-quality version of the ESP Horizon with a wide variety of personalization options. It pairs a carved-topped mahogany body with a set-thru three-piece maple neck at 25.5” scale, thin U-shaped for comfort and speed, and includes an ebony fingerboard with 24 extra-jumbo Jescar stainless steel frets and abalone offset block inlays. Its neck, and headstock are all fully bound. Like other ESP USA models, the USA Horizon-II is available with optional flamed maple and quilted maple tops and your choice of dozens of gloss and satin translucent finishes to allow the figured wood grain to be highlighted (and plain maple caps for solid color finishes). We only use the finest components with ESP USA guitar models, and the USA Horizon-II features Sperzel Trim-Lok tuners, a TonePros locking TOM bridge with string-thru-body design for excellent sustain and resonance, Dunlop strap locks, and a graphite nut. The USA Horizon-II includes a high-quality ESP USA form-fitting hard shell case.
