Player's Perspective

This Cordoba Hauser Limited is a tribute to one of the most iconic classical guitars in history, and Cordoba did a phenomenal job in capturing the essence of the legendary instrument. Opening the lush brown leather case, we were awestruck by the timeless look of the guitar and the striking contrast between the dark ebony fretboard and beautiful spruce top. 

The tonal formula of the rosewood back and sides with the spruce top and ebony fretboard sounds fantastic for both strummed chords and plucked single notes, and even the players here at the shop who have little experience in the world of classical and flamenco playing appreciated the truly "3D" quality of the way notes sustain and ring out. The neck profile is very comfortable and the fretwork is as premium you would expect for a guitar of this stature. 

We worked with our friends at Cordoba to include some special features unique to this specific piece, including Madagascar Rosewood for the back and sides, absolutely stunning flame maple binding (my personal favorite aesthetic feature), and a fretboard extension for increased fret access.

Item Specifics

Guitar playing would not be what is it today without the 1937 instrument created by Hermann Hauser and popularized by Spanish maestro Andres Segovia. The Córdoba Hauser Limited captures the excitement of this instrument while making it accessible to the modern player. The guitar features Madagascar Rosewood back and sides paired with an Englemann Spruce top, which is a classic, tried-and-true combination of tonewoods for acoustic instruments, a Spanish Cedar neck, along with an ebony fretboard for tonal clarity and a slick playing feel. The hardware and appointments are equally class - Cordoba Master Series tuning machines with gold plating and ebony buttons as well as a bone nut and saddle.
