12 DISCRETE PREAMPS. THE KEY TO TRANSPARENT RECORDINGS
Designed using a combination of transistors, the Discrete preamps provide an astonishing 75 dB of gain, maximum noise reduction and, most importantly, precise sound capture for transparent recordings. They also bring out the best in our Edge modeling condenser microphones, for vocal and instrument recording that truly keeps up with the times.
DC Coupled I/O
Make the bridge between analog and digital using the DC Coupled inputs and outputs, allowing you to take control over your CV-controlled synths and machines.
Direct line inputs
All Orion Studio Synergy Core analog inputs have the Direct-In feature to let you bypass preamp controls and record line-in signals directly into the converters. No coloration – get ready to hear the truth!
Hardware inserts
Two analog inserts (applied to preamp 1 and 2) allow you to connect analog processing gear without the need to do additional routing in the DAW or in the control panel.

There’s no task too big or too small for the Orion Studio Synergy Core. Record high-impedance instruments and reamp DI tracks through the special purpose Reamp outputs. Take advantage of all 16 line outputs. Handle digital audio via S/PDIF and ADAT. Freely route all incoming and outgoing audio from an intuitive software Routing Matrix. Then hear the result from two pairs of headphones or studio monitors – simultaneously, if you need to.

Analog & Digital Connectivity
- 14 x 24 Rackmount audio interface with Thunderbolt & USB connection for Mac/Windows;
- 12 Discrete ultra-linear preamps with 75dB of gain on combo XLR jacks for studio-quality recordings. All work as microphone/line/Direct-In inputs, and four of them are Hi-Z compatible. All preamps are fully DC-coupled
