This Guild D-55 features high quality tonewoods such as a solid AAA spruce top with scalloped red spruce bracing and solid rosewood sides and back. The Antique Burst paint job and nitrocellulose lacquer finish make for a stunning looking and brilliantly resonant instrument. All of these features are perfectly balanced with each other, and as a result you can feel the guitar's vibrations very easily against your body. The three piece mahogany/walnut/mahogany neck features a bound ebony fretboard, a 12" radius and natural mother of pearl and abalone inlays. Other fine appointments on this D-55 include gold hardware, an ebony bridge, abalone rosette, Gotoh 700 series open back tuners, bone saddle and nut and a tortoise shell pickguard. A premium hard shell case is included. All of these appointments help explain why the D-55 has enjoyed widespread popularity since its introduction in 1968.
