Virtually fabled since the mid-to-late 1970s, the seldom-seen Starcaster occupies a special place in Fender history as its one-and-only offset-waist semi-hollow electric guitar. Prized decades later by a new generation of adventurous guitarists with a flair for appealingly unconventional Fender style, the Starcaster now returns in fabulous new Modern Player form with greater sound, build and beauty.

SEMI-HOLLOW MAPLE BODY WITH ALDER CENTER BLOCK

A big part of this instrument’s resonant tonal character comes from its semi-hollow maple body, which improves on the original design with an alder center block for more sustain and less susceptibility to feedback.

WIDE RANGE HUMBUCKING PICKUPS

Like the original mid-1970s models, the Starcaster guitar features a pair of large Wide Range humbucking pickups that produce full-bodied tonal character and impart a cool vintage-authentic look.

CLASSIC STARCASTER SHAPE WITH DUAL F HOLES

Just like the original models of the mid 1970s, this guitar is built with the classic Starcaster semi-hollow double-cutaway design, which features a sleek offset waist and the elegant touch of dual f holes.

ADJUSTO-MATIC™ BRIDGE

Among its other highly individualized design elements, this instrument features an Adjusto-Matic bridge for notable string placement and tuning stability, and the added benefit of an authentically vintage-style look.

DOUBLE-BOUND BODY

For an especially refined look, the Starcaster guitar features elegant white binding on the top and bottom of its offset semi-hollow body.

MODERN NECK

This instrument features a stylish and great-feeling modern neck with a comfortable “C” profile (the shape of the neck in cross section), smooth-playing finish and fingerboard, and convenient adjustability for periodic maintenance. The latest in smooth Fender playability.
