It's a pristine, meticulously crafted instrument that represents over 30 years of tweaking, dialing in and perfecting. This is one of those instruments that wins you over before you even get a note out. The balance of the body, the smoothness of the neck, the masterful craftsmanship in the frets - you know you're holding something special before any music happens. The sound of this bass is enormous. It has a punchy low end that cuts right through the mix, beefy but clean mids and an articulate top end. It sounds great going through a wall of speakers, it sounds great in the studio, and it sounds great in the practice room. The neck is extremely comfortable and will immediately befriend your playing hand. Exhaustive tonal controls, extremely high quality hardware and a nice simple finish top off the package. This is easily a last-bass-you-need-to-buy kind of instrument.
Special Features
This Warwick Corvette $$ NT sports a bubinga body with a natural oil finish. It's a very simple but beautiful finish that doesn't get marked up easily and showcases the cool figuring in the bubinga. The maple neck is joined to the body with neck-thru construction, which provides both stability and sustain. Electronically, this bass is really decked out. It sports two passive MEC MM-style humbuckers wired to an active MEC preamp with controls for volume, balance, treble and bass. There are also two mini toggle switches that allow different configurations of the pickups - serial, parallel, and single-coil. The case that comes with this instrument isn't so much a case as it is a bomb shelter. Also included is certificate of authenticity.
