Any day we get to open the case to a new Suhr Custom instrument is always a great day, and today is no different! This beautiful Custom Classic S is one of the prettiest to ever come through the shop. It features a gorgeous Trans Blue Denim finish, a breathtaking burl maple top, and a wonderfully-grained Swamp Ash body. Wow!

The silent (that's right! No more noisy 60-cycle hum!) single-coil circuitry allows you to retain 100% of that genuine single coil sound without any of the noise. The V60LP pickups, made with the same Alnico V magnets sourced for real vintage pickups, are voiced for authentic 60s  “S” tones with a warm, smoky top end. They're incredibly touch-sensitive and responsive to picking dynamics like a vintage guitar should be. The same applies to the SSV humbucker in the bridge - vintage-flavored, but built to rock and sing with a powerful voice. These awesome pickups combined with the SSCII system ensures that the only noise coming out of your guitar will be music that you are creating. You can isolate any of the pickups without ever worrying about added hiss.

Add the supremely functional Suhr locking tuners, fantastic Wilkinson 2-point tremolo, contoured heel and other contemporary appointments and improvements, this Classic is vintage sound meets modern playability wrapped up in a gorgeous package.

The Suhr Classic S marries vintage design with modern improvements resulting in an instrument that is capable of producing iconic tones while retaining the build quality, features and playability you’ve come to expect from Suhr. The neck has the addition of a contoured heel where the neck bolts on for easy access to all the frets. The unique blend of locking tuners, a high performance bridge, V60LP / SSV pickups and Suhr's proprietary SSCII noise reduction system creates the perfect combination of vintage tones with modern performance.

Rolled edges and a 9″-12” compound fingerboard radius offers a substantial, yet comfortable shape. Stainless steel frets offer silky smooth bending and long-lasting playability. The contoured heel of the Classic allows for easier access to the upper register. The SSCII is Suhr's proprietary silent single coil system. The SSCII is installed inside the body of the guitar and works with traditional single coil pickups. It reduces 60 cycle hum and has no impact on tone, no batteries to change – just transparent noise reduction.
