Martin Custom Shop 000-28 Inspired OM/Auditorium Acoustic Guitar, Quilt Bubinga Back and Sides, Sitka Spruce Top

Music Store Live is proud to offer up this beautiful creation from our friends at the Martin Custom Shop department with some absolutely gorgeous quilted Bubinga that we picked out while at the Martin factory. This one was loosely inspired by a 000-28 auditorium-sized guitar as the starting platform and then we made some tweaks to the specs and anxiously awaited the results.

This guitar is every bit as special as it looks. The quilted Bubinga is going to sound similar to rosewood in that it provides a full and warm tone, but of course, it has that awesome and crazy figuring that we love so much. Bubinga is even sometimes referred to as "African Rosewood". The Sitka spruce top will give you a classic combination of tones that will instantly sound familiar and glorious. Due to the Bubinga being a bit denser than typical rosewood and, of course, the nature of the Sitka spruce top, you can strum and really lean into this and the top shouldn't ever overdrive on you. It will pump out solid volume, lush tone, and yet maintain a wide dynamic range that responds beautifully to your picking or your fingers.

This is a truly special, one-of-a-kind Martin Custom Shop build that has beautiful and unique looking woods, but a familiar tone. It's perfect for the stage, great in the studio, and a must-have for any Martin collector. The build quality on this one is absolutely through the roof.
