This medium-scale Thunderhorse V 5-string bass features a Trickfish IPA 3-band EQ running at 18v. There is a battery compartment on the back for easy access. This Thunderhorse V features three of DiMarzio's brand new Colossal Pickups. DiMarzio sent us these pickups early, and we have been dying to share them with you. The master volume is an Active/Passive True Bypass Push/Pull. 

Our basses feature medium jumbo stainless steel frets. This bass was hand painted by Madelyn McGrath. The independent on/off sliders for each pickup give you complete control over your tone, making it easy to dial in any combination you want, even using all three at the same time for a full, powerful sound.

McGrath Guitars

Cormac McGrath has been a bassist and luthier for 20 years. Having played thousands of gigs, events and festivals he got to thinking about how to make playing bass the most fun he possibly could. If you spend your weekend loading gear and driving for hours, playing music should be the reward. So many mass produced instruments don't solve the little points of friction that take the joy and flow out of playing music.

​He talked to his fellow bassists, he assembled a team / expert research and built his first round of machinery on the kitchen counter. Cormac is passionate about gear but knows it's not meant to collect dust in the corner. If it's easy, you will play more. That is the goal of this company. Some basses are designed to be obsolete, some are designed to hang on the wall, these are MADE TO BE PLAYED!
