Here's another killer T-Bone from our friends at LsL Instruments in Santa Clarita, CA! This one's in a beautiful Candy Apple Red Sparkle finish. A nice, warm humbucker in the neck, a la Keith Richards, pairs beautifully with the bright and spanky single-coil in the bridge. The Roasted Birdseye Maple neck feels luxurious and smooth and is ultra-stable along with looking gorgeous.
The guitar is expertly constructed, as with all of the LsL guitars we've come across. The playability is fantastic and it's an excellent mix of vintage and modern when it comes to the neck shape. It's going to feel instantly familiar to most players and is easy to navigate up and down on without being too thin. Even if you like to dig in and play hard, the action can still be set pretty low on this. The notes sound and feel even up and down the fretboard with lead lines and chords both being a breeze to play.
The LsL humbucker definitely has its root in the vintage PAF sounds of old. It's warm, rich, and produces silky smooth leads. It sounds incredible whether played clean or with some distortion. It can also be split for a more traditional T-style tone, for additional versatility. The single-coil in the bridge is bright and twangy, just as you'd expect and want out of a guitar like this. The okoume body adds some nice fullness and midrange to the sound compared to typical T-style builds with ash or alder. This helps give definition and articulation to the humbucker as well as providing a bit more fullness to the single-coil bridge pickup.

Our T-Bone is a re-creation of the best a '50's or '60 vintage T-style guitar has to offer and more. We start by selecting the best possible materials and then make them right here in our shop. We make the bodies, necks, truss rods, pickups, saddles and pickguards all here. Each body is built and detailed by hand. Each neck is hand-shaped. Then we lay on the thinnest possible nitrocellulose lacquer finish and that finish is then weather checked. This creates a very airy, open, articulate tone that is then enhanced by our own, LsL hand-wound pickups.
This is as close as you can get to achieving the tone, playability, look and feel of a vintage guitar. Our T-Bones have found their way into the hands of many a player who has replaced their 50's-vintage instrument with ours.
The best materials, best processes and a love and care for each guitar is what makes the T-Bone the new standard in vintage-style instruments. We make them all for ourselves but then we have to sell them.
