Anderson guitars are a shop favorite and for good reason. Every instrument they build is a bullseye. This one came out stunningly beautiful and is designed to rock hard while still providing a versatile tonal pallet of musical sounds to choose from.
As soon as you take this out of the case you'll be drowning in deep, lush, rich blue quilt maple. Plug this beauty in and without ever turning to your amp, you'll have a wealth of tones right at your fingertips. The neck pickup sounds absolutely beautiful with a warm, rich, and velvety smooth tone that packs enough punch to stay articulate with distortion and sounds wonderful clean. In the bridge, we went with what Anderson themselves refer to as perhaps their most popular pickups. They can handle absolutely anything you throw at them. They are able to get lean and mean and if high-gain is your thing, go ahead and drench it in saturation. But it's hardly an overwound pickup. That's the beauty of it! It has a present mid-range but enough bass and treble to sound balanced and not have that nasally honk that so many mid-focused and overwound pickups have. For good measure, we had them also throw in a single-coil n the middle to give you all the twang and chime that you could need.
The neck is a perfect mix of slim without being paper-thin. The even-taper neck shape is smooth and, combined with the compound radius of the fretboard, allows for effortless playing wherever you happen to be on the neck. We get this neck shape on a lot of the guitars we order because it seems to work universally for so many people. The fretwork is immaculate and the recessed tremolo allows you to drop the action really low without having to worry about fret buzz (of course, that'll also be dependent on how hard you strum). We gave this bad boy a floyd rose locking tremolo so you never have to worry about your strings going out of tune when using the whammy bar. This really is a swiss army knife kind of guitar with the kind of playability that is nothing short of angelic and divine.

Guardian Angel's pickguard is specifically cut as to nuzzle its neck pickup nearest the 24th harmonic, for the richest “24” neck tone obtainable. You may like to call it, 24-fret neck-pickup magic.

H 1-: The perfect neck pickup to balance with the H2+ or H2 at the bridge, full, throaty neck humbucker tones that are never bloated, open, clear and rich, splits really well.
SF 2: Hot single-coil sound, hum-canceling. Great for hotter neck and middle applications.
H 2+: Perhaps our most popular bridge humbucker. Not too hot, not too cold but just right with a big low end. Full mids without giving up all the highs and lows.
